9 | Updates #bigblogmasproject

Hello, So over the past few days I haven't been around. Lets start with Saturday, This was an amazing day for me as I went to the Clothes Show Live with my friend, and it was one of the best experiences ever. I had to get up super early as the drive is normally around 1 hour and I didn't buy as much as I thought I would haha (some of this was because some shops were so busy!) The best part by a mile, was the show where there was over 250 outfit changes and 7 scene changes and it was amazing, plus we were the 5 row from the runway. I will be writing a whole detailed post on this soon.

Then on Sunday I was pretty ill, I've had one of those pathetic little coughs and Its just been a tickle at the back of my throat but on Sunday it got so bad and I felt sick and it wasn't pleasant. I really wanted to blog too, but I was recovering from all that retail therapy! and i wanted to curl into a ball.

I am really sorry for not posting and feel like I've let everyone and myself down for missing a few days of the #bigblogmasproject, but I need to be less hard on myself as It isn't the end of the world but still it was important to me. My whole body is aching, and I am coughing so much and today I lost my voice like 5 times, so I am thankful I have it back now because I do like talking to be quite honest.

This was a more chatty post, but I just wanted to do an update and let you know where I have been.

Thank you for sticking with me!

5 | Its Beginning To Look A Lot Like Christmas #bigblogmasproject

Today I made a little set on Polyvore inspired by some Christmas items, it is a quicker one than normal but still I hope you like the small one that I have done, I may even do some more.

As you can see it is a very simple set, I just saw a few pictures that particularly caught my eye and built something around them. They are all warm colour like reds, oranges and burgundy as I am literally in love with burgundy. I really love putting words or scripts on the back as it makes it more interesting to look at instead of a plain background.

I am sorry it's a short post, but some of my others are longer so I want to vary them a bit. Anyway I am really enjoying doing this so far and its super fun. Also I am at the Clothes Show Saturday which I am super excited for so sorry if my post is late.

Thanks for reading!

4 | The Christmas Tag! #bigblogmasproject

Recently I've seen this tag going around Blogger and decided to jump on the trend and do it as the questions looked quite good.

1) Do you prefer real or synthetic Christmas trees?
Personally in my family, we've always had fake ones so I guess fake purely because that's all I know of. But I'm not discriminating real trees so if theirs any tree lovers don't be offended please.

2) Your in a coffee shop/café in December, what do you order?
Well if its Starbucks, then a caramel frappuccino - I know its cold out and i had one while I was travelling once and we walked across a bridge and my hand was going to fall of it was that cold, but I can't resist. But hot drinks wise, I really need to try more hot drinks at Starbucks so recommend me some! I do also like hot chocolates and tea.

3) Whats your favourite colour scheme for decorating your tree?
On our tree every year, we have gold tinsel and then a mixture of shiny gold, champagne, burgundy and gold glitter baubles and I love the colours together. But on my tiny little blue tree I only have cute white lights on it.

4) Giving or receiving?
This may sound weird but I really enjoy wrapping gifts and tying bows on them and making them look all festive and pretty, maybe I'm small because i am secretly an elf, I'm so pale too. It all makes sense now.

5) Mince pies, yes or no?
No. I don't know why but I just don't enjoy them, I end up nibbling all of the pastry instead mwuahaha.

6) Whats your traditional Sunday lunch?
Typically we have roast beef, yorkshire pudding (and I normally eat them all woops), carrots, roast potatoes, broccoli/cabbage, roast parsnips etc. I cant really remember, but we sometimes change it around.

7) Christmas day fashion?
Normally on Christmas day (after spending the morning in pajamas) I will wear a nice dress or something quite dressy as to me it is a special occasion. Then I will probably wear some nice shoes and tights with a cute jacket or cardi to finish the look off.

8) Whats your favourite Christmas song?
I cant physically answer this, but I may or may not (well i am) be doing a Christmas playlist soon with a variety of my favourite songs so stay tuned for that!

9) Whats your favourite Christmas film?
I have to say Elf. As childish as some people may say it is, I have always watched it expecially from when I was really young, so I never get tired of it.

10) Open presents before or after lunch?
Before. As soon as I wake up (which is usually really early, its like there is some kind of Christmas alarm in my head) I open my gifts and we all talk about everything. Then the whole family comes round, its time for more gift giving and receiving and then we eat lunch!

Thank you very much for reading, why not have a go at this tag and let me know if you did it.

3 | 8 Winter Beauty/Fashion Necessities #bigblogmasproject

Hello, so I decided to a post on things that we need around Christmas time, but instead of doing objects like a Christmas tree etc. I thought I would relate it to beauty/fashion.

beauty necessities

1) Moisturiser
This is extremely important especially for winter as the weather is getting cooler, it dries out our skin and we need to keep it hydrated and soft, so i would say it is very important.

2) Baby Lips (or any chapstick)
Much like the first one, we need to keep our lips healthy, and to do we need chapstick or lip balm. Now i love baby lips, especially Cherry Me as they really moisturise my lips while giving it a healthy colour without it being to strong.

3) Fluffy Socks
In winter you have to have at least 1 pair of furry socks or slippers, because their cute to slip on and keep your feet toasty so you don't get cold!

4) Beanies
Much like the socks, hats are really important as they help keep your body heat in. I love beanies personally and you can get so many designs now and I just think they look good with most outfits.

5) Benetint (or any blusher)
I don't necessarily use these but sometimes when your a bit drained and pale (unless your like me and your the colour of a snowman all year) you want to freshen up and make yourself look a bit more alive and perky! I think blush is obviously the way to go, and although I haven't tried it the Benefit Benetint looks really natural and easy to apply.

6) Nail Polish
I decided to include this because when I keep seeing deep burgundy colours and other sparkly nail polishes I just want to buy all of them, and especially leading up to Christmas you have to get festive with your nails!

7) Tangle Teezer
I put specifically a Tangle Teezer but you could use any hairbush, but i think it is an essential because when that bitter cold wind is messing up your hair, you obviously want to brush it out unless you like the windswept style. My favourite brush for getting knots out hands down is a Tangle Teezer, in morning if I'm torn for time it takes me under 1 minute to get 100% knot free hair without it hurting. Amazing.

8) Hand Sanitizer
We all know as it nears winter, everyone spreads horrible bugs around and being cooped up isn't the best thing either, so keeping cute little Anti Bacterial Hand Sanitizers is a really useful idea. I really love the look of the tiny Bath and Bodywork's ones, but i cant find them in the UK *sigh* but ohwell!

Ok so I hope you enjoyed this post, I really wanted to do an essentials/necessities so there you have it.
What are your winter essentials?

2 | My Views On Christmas #bigblogmasproject

When it comes to Christmas I really do get excited and love getting into the festive spirits. I love it when the advent calendars are opened, the tree is being put up and no matter what channel you go onto Christmas music will be playing.

Normally we have the whole family over to our house for Christmas and I really do love it and we open presents, then we all eat dinner and after moan about how stuffed we are and probably then have dessert. On Boxing Day we normally spend it recovering and then for NYE we all go round to my grandparents house for cards, music, food and a lot of fun and we usually leave extremely late and are in tears with laughter.

I personally love giving gifts, and love wrapping them up and making them look pretty but I feel like nowadays some people at Christmas can totally miss the point. The point is that Christmas does go back to a religious event obviously, but to me Christmas isn't necessarily about presents it's about getting together with family or friends.

I'm sorry this is a very short post but I have a longer one prepared for tomorrow, I am just spending more time on that one so this post suffered in length a little haha!

What are your views on Christmas? How do you celebrate it?

1 | Up Goes The Christmas Tree #bigblogmasproject

Hello everyone! So this is my first proper post for the #bigblogmasproject. Its basically as you can see from the title, putting up my Christmas tree just so I can ease into it. Anyway it wont be a very long post but I hope you enjoy it!

Each year on the 1st of December, our Christmas tree is dug out of the loft and we spend the day listening to Christmas music really loudly, and watching Christmas films to get us in the festive spirits (if anyone wanted to know, my favorite film is Elf just because its Elf, I always watched it as a kid and I refuse to stop watching it okay)

I just love how pretty the tree looks in this photo with Elf, and Riley hopping in to say hello.

Love this ornament, I think all of them look pretty even standard baubles and I remember making awful plastic ones when I was younger that never made it on the tree haha. But I think decorating a Christmas tree is so fun because everyone's is different and they are just so nice to look at.

Anyway i know it was short but i just wanted to ease into it, hope you enjoyed this post and are looking forward to my others. Feel free to check out the bloggers below who are taking part too.

Are you excited for Christmas, have you put your tree up?
